Supplemental Income

Let’s talk money. The one thing the most of us are trying to obtain. Whether you’re a member of the corporate world like me, or a full time entrepreneur, we could all stand to add more sources of income to our catalog. We’ve all heard or read the quote: “The average millionaire has seven sources of income”, and because all of our readers are destined to be millionaires, we’ve put together a few supplemental income ideas to help you earn a few hundred bucks a week.

Uber/Lyft Driver. Do you own a newer car with no visible damage? Do you have full coverage and a good driving history? Driving an Uber/Lyft might be perfect for you. With the option of an instant deposit up to 5 times a day, the turn around time on your cash is the ultimate plus. That doesn’t even include cash tips that you may receive from your passengers for the outstanding customer service that you will provide. Your car will be fully covered by Uber/Lyft for all rides given and will cover any damages or injuries caused during your rides. A few things to keep in mind when driving an Uber/Lyft: First, you will get more of a return when you live in a busy city. I live in South Florida where an Uber/Lyft is requested by the second. So the odds of me making 500 a weekend is very likely, as opposed to someone who lives in a small location like Cheyenne, Wyoming, your chances of getting an ride request are much more slim. Secondly, keep in mind the miles that will accrue on your vehicle. If you lease your car this is not the gig for you. Lastly, choosing your hours of operation will be critical. Let’s not forget that you will be driving complete strangers to their next destination. Choosing a time where you’re less likely to encounter the partygoers or making yourself vulnerable for other unforeseen instances are an important piece to making this gig successful.

Trade. What are you good at? Cooking? Cleaning? Doing taxes? Are you a dog person who helps your neighbors out from time to time? Good with kids and babysit on occasions? It’s time you started charging for it! Stop baking cakes and pies for family members when they should be paying you for your services. The best thing about making a profit on a trade is, most likely it’s something you love to do and have been doing for years. Charging people for your expertise will be the only difference. Stop thinking about all of the people who are already doing it. Look at the tissue and detergent isles. There are hundreds of products that serve the same purpose. It’s about targeting your own loyal customers and keeping them coming to purchase from you and only you.

Tutoring/Classes Is there a subject that you know a lot about or understand with ease? You should really think about helping out students who struggle in these areas. It doesn’t have to be academic, it can be a sport or helping a student with debates for the debate team. Not only will you be apart of helping the community, you’ll also earn extra money while building relationships with kids who may return the favor in the future (babysitting, lawn care, pet sitting etc).
Air BNB/VRBO. Do you have a vacant property or secluded area in your home with a full bathroom and private entry? Maybe you’re an extra tidy person who spends a lot of time somewhere else and are hardly home. Using your home to host out of town guests seeking accommodations is a pretty lucrative idea. It’s an even better idea if you live in a city known for its tourism. The prices you can charge nightly can be just as much, if not more than, an average hotel in your area. Not only that, you get a service/cleaning fee along with a deposit for incidentals. If you have a vacant rental property this will be a good way to make money until you get your unit occupied. You just have to be willing to furnish it in the meantime.

Online Store. Do you own a lot of things? Or have friends and family members that do? Start a consignment shop reselling items that are no longer wanted. There are lots of different avenues you can use to make a profit. eBay and Craigslist aren’t your only options anymore. Now we have Let Go, Offer Up and Amazon. You can create a store on all these apps at the same time to increase your chances of landing a sale. The best things about these apps is you can sale local if you would rather meet up with locals in a safe common area and cut out shipping and handling.
Although there are hundreds of other ways to make money we thought we would put a few out there to get you motivated and get the ball rolling on your path to financial independence.

Love after a Fuck Boy/Girl

So you finally did it. You finally ended that bittersweet toxic relationship and it probably took you 20 tries to get it right. None of that matters. Only thing that matters now is you’re free. If you’ve been in this situation like I have, you know leaving that person alone is actually easier than moving on. It’s funny because I know that you’ve picked yourself up, stared at yourself in the mirror like: “It’s on”, “I’m about to fuck the summer up”, “I’m out here”.    You bought all the nicest outfits, reinvented your entire look, bought tickets to the hottest beaches and had a great couple of months after your breakup.  One day, after all the fun and all the trips, something triggered you. Whether it was a holiday, a wedding, or a baby shower. Something clicked, and you’re like ok I’m ready to try this shit again.  Now that you've established that you’re ready to start dating again.  You get the ball rolling however you do it.  Sliding in DM’s, Tinder, Airdrop in the c

Toxicity 1•20•2019

So we are over half way through the first month of 2019.    How many people have you actually cut off like you told all of your social media followers you would?    If your answer is no don’t feel bad.    You’re only a small percent of the millions of people being victimized by toxicity.    I also have been blinded by toxic friends, lovers, jobs and family members.    Whether you like to admit it or not, keeping toxicity around us rubs off.    You may not realize it, but because of your interactions with toxic situations and toxic people, you have acquired some toxic traits.    Hopefully after reading this article we will all start the process of removing toxicity from our lives, but I hope we also are able to identify our own toxic characteristics and avoid victimizing other people and being apart of the never ending circle. There are so many toxic situations surrounding us but the most popular are friends, lovers, family members and jobs.    Within all of these situations I’

Dining Out Budget 02•25•2019

Have you ever printed your bank statement and did a full analytic review? If not, you should. Try pulling the last three months of statements and highlighting where your money is spent the most.    My biggest money guzzler is FOOD! When I say food I definitely do not mean groceries.    I can have a fridge full of groceries and still want to dine out.    I live in a extremely diverse city where the options are massive.    Everywhere you turn there’s a restaurant serving something you never tried with drinks specials to go with it. It’s like a never ending vacation! A blessing and a curse at the same time.    When I look at my bank statements and tally up all the money spent on dining out I am completely embarrassed. Just yesterday I decided to embark a new journey. A journey that would be better for my body and my pockets. I decided to add a limit on dining out and focus on eating at home more. If you’re finding yourself in the same struggle let’s take this on together. The fi
